We leave El Colmenar taking the MA-512 road that takes us to Gaucín, this road has a strong climb up to "Puerto del Negro" mountain pass, during the climb we can admire the Vulture Gorge "Garganta de las Buitreras", impresive canyon carved by Guadiaro river that crosses the "Cerro del Panderón" hill. After 8 kms. we abandon the road as we enter the border of Sierra del Hacho mountain range, a gentle and comfortable track leads us to "Puerto de Las Heras" mountain pass through beautiful landscapes, which is the key to access the magnificant valley of Guadiaro, previously descending a tecnical downhill followed by a wide cattle track that leaves us in the "Cañada del Real Tesoro", also named Estación de Cortes, where there is a RENFE train station.

Through the "Cañada Real de Gibraltar" cattle track we continue parallel to the Guadiaro river along a path that in spite of having difficult parts, is one of the more beautiful stretchs of the TransAndalus. We end up at the Estación de Jimera de Líbar, where there´s a camping. The village has an hotel and it´s a kilometre away.
