To cover the distance between Cardeña and Villanueva we use the 'Cordel de Villanueva' that for the most part of the journey passes through dirt roads and tracks. The prettiest part, although also the slowest (because of the type of road surface, areas which can be muddy and gates which must be opened and closed) is the first half, that passes to the right of the 'A' road. Once we cross over the road it becomes a track where we can speed along the flat towards the outskirts of Villanueva.
