Beautiful section that continues travelling across the white villages that climb up, like we do, by the slopes of the sidemountains of 'Sierra Nevada'. That barely twelve kilometres of route will allow us to go through gorgeous spots and to cross, in spite of the short distance, the quiet streets of tiny hamlets, linked each one to her stream, to her fertile land, and stopped in the time.

From Válor we let our bike roll downhill by his road until we've reached the outskirts, where we branch off to the left heading for Nechite. Climbing the steeped ramps, we can't help to look at the landscape that opens at our right out of the corner of our eye, clusters of little houses, between them a lot of vegetation and at the end you can guess in the horizon the coastline of Almería, the light of the sea.

From the viewpoint of Nechite the GR-7 will guide us between chestnut trees, irrigation ditchs and irrigation crops, up to a stream. To get out of this ravine the only solution will pass for pushing our bike uphill for about three hundred metres. The more skillful cyclist won't have problems from here to ride their bikes, leaving behind the shady place of the ravine and facing the sunny slope.

Following the track, soon we will reach Mairena, which we'll ride across to join with the main road, which we leave again after few metres to climb to Júbar, crossing this village up to the church. From here, we will forget for a moment the GR-7, our track continues by a narrow and winding road that will transport us again to the main road, but already watching our near destination, Laroles, with the church tower standing out in the distance. This village is the last one from the region of 'Alpujarra Granadina', and the door of Almería.
